A Dream That Became a Reality
Praise the Name of the living God. I take this opportunity to thank you for sparing this time and visit us here. May God bless you so much. Kirinya Children's Centre Nursery and Primary school started in 2009 with a desire to help the community. When we came to Kirinya Namataba (Kikonko) in 2007 the place looked so down as if a forgotten place while in prayer God gave us Jeremiah 33:9 and gave us a new name for this community as "Ekibuga kyabawanguzi" translated as a Victorious City.
The community had many Children who walked barefoot with no hope of Education in life. It was full of Single Mothers and a few helpless Fathers who worked in a swamp to dig sand which they washed clay soil only to get something to survive. In such areas witchcraft is inevitable. They would bewitch each other and the church had a lot of work of praying, crying unto God to visit people's hearts and change this place.
Having seen all these: one day we sat in Church by then, full of mud and reeds all over, decided to start educating these Children free of charge and one member Sister Prossy Nazziwa became the Head working along other church Mothers who had some knowledge to help the little ones. We kept praying to God to connect us to like minded people with the heart for Children and God is gracious.
